WINEMAKING METHODS
Pošip is an indigenous Dalmatian white grape variety, originally discovered by a local farmer in the Smokvica village where the winery is located. Grapes for this wine come from the vineyards located in the central part of the island Korčula, around Smokvica. These are old vineyards with traditionally best sites for growing Pošip.
Grapes for this wine are handpicked and crushed with minimum pressure. Fermentation takes place during 3-4 weeks in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control at 15°C. The process of fermentation is followed by 2 months of fine lees stirring.
TASTING NOTES
