100% dried and milled house crickets (Acheta Domesticus) from Lithuania

Cricket flour has a slightly nutty umami taste and aroma, reminiscent of sunflower seeds and nuts.

The nutritional value:

Crickets meets the requirements of keto, paleo, gluten-free, low carb or flexitarian diets: 70% protein, 20% fat, 8 % fibers and 2% carbohydrates. Crickets contain: 18 amino acids, Lysine, Calcium, Iron, Omega 3, 6, Biotin, Selenium, Copper, Magnesium, Zinc, and Vitamins – A, B2, B3, B12, C, D. Crickets contain a prebiotic called chitin. It is found in their exoskeleton. When consumed, chitin is a fantastic source of insoluble fibre which aids in the growth of a probiotic called bifidobacterium animalis.

Extra high quality, raised in the EU, operating in accordance with IPIFF Good Hygiene Practices. Free from any possible medicines or hormones. Cricket feed is cereal-based, 100% vegetable, soy, and GMO-free, does not contain fishmeal or animal derived ingredients, enriched with vitamins and minerals. Our edible insects are watered exclusively with extremely pure, specially treated filtered water sourced from the depths of the Lithuanian Regional Park. Thanks to an industrial feed formula – always stable protein and declared nutritional value.

Processing Method

The cricket farming and the flour processing take place within the same facility, what guarantees always fresh raw material. Crickets are harvested before formation of exoskeleton (no wings inside) – only pure meet.  Sterilization and drying process – we use advanced technologies including microwave drying, that maintains mild nutty umami smell and taste, light brown color, deactivates microbiology while nutritional values remain unchanged.  

Shelf-Life

18 months from manufacturing date within the manufacturer’s packaging. Storage in dry, cool environment, avoid direct sunlight.

Packaging Options

We use vacuum method, to protect the product and increase shelf life. Standard packaging – foiled, opaque Bag 15kg, 44x33x19 h, cm. Individual packaging needs are acceptable. Food grade materials are used in all packaging.

Orders from our stock are processed and shipped within business 1-2 day. For items not in stock, please anticipate a lead time of approximately 2 weeks for EU orders and 6-8 weeks for overseas deliveries.

Allergen Information

Insects can cause allergic reactions. Crossreactivity is possible for people allergic to crustaceans, molluscs, and dust mites.

Crickets are also available whole, either dried or frozen.
