WINEMAKING METHODS

Grapes are handpicked early in the morning and processed the same day. Fermentation with skin contact lasts ten days and malolactic fermentation is spontaneous, with the wine aging in stainless steel. Grapes for this wine are produced in the south of Dalmatia on the Pelješac Peninsula, a homeland of Plavac mali.

Testament vineyard is located on the hillsides of Jadrtovac, 70 to 100 m above sea level. Vines are planted in limestone karst with less than 20% soil – these harsh conditions result in premium grapes. All vineyard work is completed manually and wine is certified organic.

TASTING NOTES

Red wine with a lively garnet color, dark cherry, and plum aromas with hints of tea, clover, and rosehip. The flavour is fruity with lively acidity and a medium body balanced by soft tannins at the end of the palate.
